CCSF's First Agenda
History can be a treasure trove of surprises! As we reflect on the ways the Foundation has supported the students, staff, and community of Cherry Creek Schools, we wanted to share moments in history that shine a light on where we’ve been, where we are, and where we’re going by sharing historical artifacts from the Foundation’s history.
Today’s historical artifact is an agenda from October 8, 1992, outlining the next steps to develop the Foundation’s mission, governance, marketing, and funding priorities. (Our agendas thirty years later look pretty similar!)
One key piece for a non-profit is always the people! An important goal for this first meeting was to bring the community together by engaging with CCSD community members who are passionate about education, just as we’re blessed to have a great Board of Directors. Additionally, we continue to refine our priorities and goals to ensure we’re meeting the needs of our students, staff, and community.
SIDE NOTE: The team at the Foundation noticed that the paper of the agenda feels like a carbon copy fax – a machine some of us have never even used! Today, our agendas are digital for ease of access and a nice environmental way to save some trees!
We’ve enjoyed traveling down memory lane and hope you enjoyed it, too! Stay tuned for more history and we hope you’ll help us write the next thirty years of stories.
