Foundation donates $723,066 to Cherry Creek Schools in last year
The Cherry Creek Schools Foundation had a considerable, positive impact on the students, teachers and staff in Cherry Creek School District this past school year.
Since the start of the 2019-20 school year, the Foundation donated over $723,000 dollars to the district funding programs, initiatives, educational resources, classroom tools and more.
The Foundation Executive Director Jill Henden reflected on the number and fundraising since CCSF began its great work stating, “This is the highest amount we’ve donated in many years.”
“This total reflects commitments to innovation, professional development, equity and creating pathways of purpose for our students,” Henden said. “The Foundation uses these dollars to support the district’s mission of being dedicated to excellence.”
Whether donating funds to teachers for their annual Educator Initiative Grants in support of innovation and opportunity inside the classroom; providing food, books and other essential resources during the COVID-19 pandemic or funding programs and initiatives surrounding equity; the Foundation continues to evolve and support the students and staff of CCSD.
Because of our generous community, the Foundation has been able to aid and fund the various pockets of need and educational excellence within the district.
“We will continue our commitment to innovation in the classroom and supporting our teachers. We are focusing on looking at our funding through an equity lens. As new critical needs emerge in the district, we will continue to rely on the support of our community to meet them. We are truly grateful to every donor that helped make a difference during last school year,” Henden said.
